Horizon Initiative has been investing and supporting orphan children in Kenya formally since 2004. Many of these children came to us frightened, abused and alone. For years, Horizon's generous benefactors, along with our loyal Kenyan staff, have nurtured them in a holistic body, mind and spirit approach, within our proven micro-community model. Now some of these young people are graduating into adulthood and are living a self-sustainable life, making a difference in their own lives, their families, their communities and their country!
Until recently, HI had a vision for these young adults. Today it has been proven that we are empowering orphaned children to self-sustainability. At the 2015 Golf & Gala, we will experience their journey to success as we hear from them THEN and NOW.
The GOLF scramble is a great opportunity to play at Crossgates Golf Course while enjoying complimentary smoked meats, rolled cigars, fun course activities, and more - all while supporting the kids we serve in Africa. Golf spaces are limited.
**Registration opens at 10:00 am with an 11:00 am shotgun start.
**All golfers receive 2 gala reservations at no additional cost.
The GALA is an evening to celebrate and support Horizon's mission with our closest friends and partners. Network with the area's leaders in business and philanthropy, along with some special guests coming all the way from Kenya for this special event. The night will include heavy hors d'oeuvres, award-winning wine, silent and live auctions featuring exclusive dining and vacation packages, a jewelry raffle and new video updates from young adults who are "All Grown Up!" Space is limited.
**Doors open at 7pm. Silent auction closes at 8:30pm.
**Recommended dress is cocktail attire. Jackets optional.
